2018: It Kind of Stunk
In retrospect I didn't really do much this year. I barely wrote anything. I didn't finish (or even start) most of the video projects I had planned out. I woke up with songs in my head that I didn't bother to dive into, short of writing down a few lyrics at 3 a.m. and then forgetting about them. I had planned to volunteer for things and then talked myself out of it. In short: 2018 was a year of wasted potential. Part of it was my fault but there was also a significant portion that was completely out of my control, a series of rugs being pulled out from under me while I stumbled for footing. Compared to many my year really wasn't that bad, but compared to the last few years it was a real let down. One thing I'm going to do next year is keep up more with this blog, for the one or two who maybe read it on occasion. Hopefully 2019 treats all of you well and sees God doing amazing things in your life. I certainly pray that's my experience as well.
